Painting With the Sterling House Summer Camp Program

June 27, 2018

Today we joined Sterling House Community Center and painted for Peace! One of the campers read Painting For Peace in Ferguson from Vicki Soto Memorial Fund, Inc. Sponsored book. We wanted to join this movement of painting for Peace, Hope and Healing. It was awesome to be in our Hearts of Hope studio at Sterling House. We are almost ready to move in, just need to freshly paint the walls.

We are looking forward to meeting Carol Klein, the author of the book, at the Stratford Library, and continuing to create hope together. Join us tomorrow at 1:00 pm to meet the author of Painting for Peace in Ferguson followed by painting Hearts of Hope for Peace at the Library. Let’s shine the way for brighter days ✌🏻💕🎨     video about the creation of the book

“In the small town of Ferguson
In 2014
Some people did things that
Were meaner than mean

“Some people were mad
Some people were sad
But everyone, everywhere
Felt pretty bad 😦

“But when morning came
Folks took one look around
And said we don’t like
The looks of our town”
