Port 5 Painting for Veterans October 23, 2019

Last night I had the privilege spending the evening with the Women's Auxiliary of the Port 5 National  Association of  Naval Veterans (and their friends). This is the third time that they have had us out for a Paint with a Purpose event. We love collaborating  with them! Each time, they have chosen to paint for other Veterans.  The hearts they painted tonight will be added to the ones that will be painted at our November 12th event at the Riverview Bistro where we will also be painting for Veterans. These will be delivered to the VA Hospital in West Haven in December by the Dream Team Moms. One of our Hearts of Hope committee members is also a Dream Team Mom.

We were treated to an amazing sunset tonight before the event began!

It's amazing where some people find their inspiration!

The drying table is starting to fill up.

How cool it that, a fan that attaches to your phone. Not just for hot flashes any more.

Thank you Port 5 Women's Auxiliary for hosting tonight's event. Everyone had a great time and the Veterans who receive these hearts will be truly grateful.

Here are photos of the individual hearts.
