Bunnell High School Paints for Parkland

This afternoon, we were invited in by Principal Nancy Dowling to paint with the students and staff of Bunnell High School. We painted in the cafeteria with students who had study hall during 6th and 7th periods. Teachers had signed their classes up, and brought them down to paint mini heart with us. We were blown away at the number of students who wanted to come down and paint for the students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School and the community that surrounds them. Without exaggeration, between 6th and 7th periods, these students painted over 275 hearts in one day...and we are supposed to go back tomorrow if we can get our hands on enough mini-hearts in case we have the same kind of turnout tomorrow. I do not fear as much for our future with kind and compassionate souls such as these ready to take the helm.

These hearts, along with others painted by our Hearts of Hope family, will be delivered by to Parkland, Florida in less than two weeks

It was so much fun seeing some of my former students.
