Loan Depot and the Trumbull Rotary Reach Out to Bring Hope and Light to Those in Darkness
Loan Depot branch manager Lisa Moriello believes in giving back. In her dining room in Trumbull, CT is a Christmas tree that has been up all year. Each month, she and her family pick a different charity or nonprofit to support. The tree is decorated for whatever group is chosen, and at the end of the month, everything that has been collected is taken off the tree and given or sent to the chosen group.
In August, Lisa was at a local pet adoption event where she learned about Hearts of Hope. After talking to the people there about it, she became interested in participating in Hearts of Hope with her Loan Depot team as well as members of the Trumbull Rotary. Lisa worked with Judy, our founder, to order hearts and have them sent to her team members all over the United States. Her team members were given instructions explaining that these hearts were going to be given to someone who was struggling or going through a hard time. Their mission was to paint the heart, fill out the message card, and return them to her. As they were returned, Lisa put them on her tree where they would be video taped and photographed before handing them back over to us. These hearts will be the first hearts placed on our Wall of Hope and will be on display at our official unveiling of the wall on October 12th.
Thank you, Lisa, Loan Depot, Trumbull Rotary, and everyone else who participated, for your beautiful hearts and inspiring words! Your hearts and words will make a difference in someone's life!
